Brief Description

Participants will learn how to weld and to work with metal. Participants can come with something in mind that they want to make or to follow a suggested design.

Any Prerequisite Skills or Knowledge Needed?

No special skill or previous experience required.

Completion of Machine Shop training required before start of Joy-Term 2022.

Time Footprint

TBA. There will likely be a required session to help participants get started. Workspaces will be available for participants to drop in during the week and work on their projects under the guidance of shop proctors.

Capacity

Due to the limited equipment, spaces, and shop proctors, we can accommodate at most 8 people in three different groupings. This maximum number of people was reached on Dec 8, so there isn't any more space for people to sign up for this activity.
